Grace G. Burt
BRISTOL- Grace G. Burt 82, died peacefully at the home of Kirk and Linda Roscoe in Bristol on March 29, 2014.
Grace was born on March 23, 1932 in Bristol, VT; she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Alta (Rockwell) Aldrich. She was a Graduate of Bristol High School; Grace also achieved an Associates degree in Business from Champlain College. She worked as the head receptionist at the Vocational Center (now the Hannaford Career Center) in Middlebury for a number of years. She then worked at Simmonds Precision in Vergennes doing receiving and inspection retiring about 20 years ago. Grace loved to read, her favorite novels were mysteries and up until her death she was reading about 10 books a month. She also enjoyed eating Lunch at the local A&W in Middlebury, VT. She was very fond of chocolate and she had poked at hundreds of chocolates in her lifetime leaving behind the ones she didnt like. Grace was a private and intellectual person and she also enjoyed a good joke.
She is survived by her children; Rodney Burt and wife Marie of Port Henry, NY, Sharon Burt of Fullerton, CA, Kathi Long of Whittier, CA, John Burt and wife Phyllis of Goffstown, NH, Jim Burt and wife Tabatha of Bristol, VT, and a sister Sheila Charron of Burlington, VT. She is also survived by 8 grand children, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Max, Leonard, Ronnie, Donald, Lila, Violet, Betty, Anna and Theresa.

In lieu of flowers or cards memorial contributions may be made to Libanus Lodge Police Body Camera Fund and mailed to P.O Box 124 Bristol, Vt 05443. This is a fund to purchase body cameras, and other items if our goal is exceeded, for the Bristol Police Department.
There will be no calling hours or service for Mom, she had requested that. The family will be meeting at the Libanus Lodge on the corner of North and Elm Streets in Bristol on April 12th at 1pm for a private celebration of her life.
