Gordon D. Spooner 47, died Monday Morning March 7, 2011 at the V. A. hospital in White River Jct., after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born May 18, 1963 in Middlebury the son of Reginald Spooner & Irene (Chaffee) Spooner.
Gordon was a graduate of Middlebury High School class of 1981, after graduation he entered the United States Army and served in the invasion of Grenada and also in Germany and Fort Bragg, N.C. as a guard and Military policeman.
He was a member of Morning Sun Lodge # 5 F. & A.M., of Bridport having served as Junior & Senior Deacon and Marshall. He was a former member of the Order of DeMolay. Gordon was a good Ritualist.
Gordon enjoyed Stock Car racing, hiking, helping his family and friends and volunteering in his community.
He was a carpenter and worked for A 1 Construction.
He is survived by his parents, by his Son, Andrew Spooner, of New Haven, by his daughter, Alexandria Spooner, of Bristol, by his brother Gary Spooner, of Bristol, by his nephew Morgan Spooner.
Per Gordons wish there will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Sun Lodge # 5 F. & A.M. in care of Kent Wright Sr. at 96 North Cream Hill Rd, Bridport, VT 05734-9617
