GLADYS QUESNEL
MIDDLEBURY- Gladys J. Cidy Quesnel, 88, a lifelong Middlebury resident, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare, Burlington.
Born in Middlebury March 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Cartmell) Murray.
Cidy was a graduate of Middlebury High School, class of 1942. She and her husband Alphonse who died September 21, 1984, owned and operated Middlebury State Airport and Dustair Inc. for over forty years.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers and animals. In earlier years she enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving family members include two sons, John A. Quesnel and his wife Kate of Middlebury and Jim A. Quesnel and his wife Mary of Rutland Town; one sister, Marion L. Bunny Brock of East Middlebury; three grandchildren, Michelle Quesnel, Kevin Quesnel, and Ryan Quesnel; five great grandchildren, Taylor Quesnel, Trent Quesnel, Paige Quesnel, Trevor Young, and Jacob Young.
Cidy was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Martin and Anne Simpson.
Private services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Addison County Humane Society, 236 Boardman St., Middlebury, VT 05753.
