GLADYS CLAREY
NEW HAVEN- Gladys M. Clarey, 89, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Middlebury.
Born in Wells River, VT August 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Burt E. and Lydia (Parks) Stewart.
Mrs. Clarey was a timekeeper for Jones and Lamson Inc. of Springfield for many years and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Clarey was a member of the North Springfield Baptist Church.
She was a member of Songsters of Springfield, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Springfield, RSVP and participated in Project Independence of Middlebury.
She was a wonderful and well loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother..
Surviving family members include one daughter, Brenda L. Currier and her husband Jerry of New Haven; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jennings of Middlebury and Brooklyn Currier of New Haven; one great grandson, Wyatt Jennings.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Varney H. Clarey in 1990 and by a sister, Winifred Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St., Middlebury. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral Home at 10:30 AM. with the Rev. Tim Taylor of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Graveside committal services will be at 2 PM Wednesday in Pine Grove Cemetery, North Springfield, VT.
