Gladys C. Austin 82, died Sunday May 21, 2017 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 15, 1935 in Panton the daughter of Frank T. and Theresa Marie (Marshall) Chaffee. Gladys married Levi Austin July 28, 1951 in Weybridge. She enjoyed baking, cooking, spending time with her family and her friends at the commons. She enjoyed nature and loved fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. She is survived her sons; John Austin and his wife Judy of Salisbury, VT and Jerry and his wife Janice of Monument Beach, Cape Cod, MA, by her daughters Virginia Bubniak and her husband Michael of Ladson, S.C. and Linda Faggiani and her husband Robert of Chesapeake, VA, also by her nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, by her sister Irene Spooner of New Haven, VT and brother Bill Chaffee and his wife Alice of East Middlebury, VT., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday May 27, 2017 at 1 P.M. in Weybridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. at 434 Hurricane Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
