Obituary

Everett R. Williams Middlebury- Everett R. Williams 89 of Middlebury, died on November 11, 2009 after a long illness. He was born on March 30, 1920, the son of Michael & Mary (St. Pierre) Williams in Pawtucket, RI. He attended schools in Pawtucket before entering the U.S. Army in 1930-1941. After the Army he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific during WWII. He married Pauline V. Rocheleau on February 17, 1940 in Troy, NH. He worked for Central VT Public Service Corp. for 38 years before retiring to FL. In 1992 he and his wife returned to Middlebury for their remaining years. He was a life member of the VFW and American Legion, a former 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Pauline R. Williams; two daughters Donnalee Many and her husband Paul of Middlebury, Jerilyn LaDuc of Rutland; three sons: Michael and his wife Eileen of Edgewater, MD, Phillip and his partner Paula Mayer of Middlebury, Douglas and his fiance Karen Gach of Orrtanna, PA, 15 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Claudene Slack, three brothers; Earl, Raymond and Francis, also a sister Connie Roy, and 3 grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at Sanderson Funeral Home 117 S. Main Street, Middlebury on Friday November 13, from 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 am, Saturday November 14 by Rev. William Beaudin celebrant.
