Elizabeth S. "Bette" Pratt died May 14, 2007, at her home. She was born May 14, 1930, in Whiting, the daughter of Frank L. Swenor and Emma Fortier. She graduated from Troy High School. In 1951, she married Stanton I. Pratt of Cornwall. Mrs. Pratt worked outside the home at a variety of jobs but her focus was as mother and grandmother, as well as helping out at Happy Valley Orchard and Oliver Hill Farm. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Emile Desautels of Middlebury; daughters Cheryl Rivers of Stockbridge, Kathy Gilman of White Plains, NC, Laura Pratt of Northfield, and Melanie Pratt of Leicester; sons, Stanton Pratt, Christopher Pratt, both of Middlebury, Alan Pratt of Cornwall, Johnathan Pratt of Brandon and Randall Pratt of Orem, Utah; a brother, Russel Swenor of Bethlehem, PA; and 18 grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 PM, Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury. Private burial will take place Saturday.
