Obituary

Elinor Brown Walker, 82, of Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away on Saturday, July 25, at Porter Hospital after a short illness. Born in 1932 in Middlebury, she was the daughter of Milton and Gladys Brown. She was buried in Prospect Cemetery in East Middlebury next to her beloved husband, Frederick W. Walker, II, who predeceased her in 1983. Valedictorian of her Middlebury High School class, she graduated with honors from Middlebury College in 1954 and was a foreign language teacher in Massachusetts prior to her marriage. She worked for 18 years in the mortgage department at North American Bank and Trust Company and Webster Bank. She was active at the Waterbury Senior Center and was a member of Saint Leo the Great Church in Waterbury, CT. She is survived by her children Deborah Perrelli of Maryland, Stephanie Raymond of Connecticut, Frederick W. Walker, III of Maryland and Alicia Walker of New Jersey. She also leaves 6 grandchildren: Melissa Perrelli Sheaffer, Allison Perrelli, Hannah Raymond, Ethan Raymond, Logan Feinberg and Dahlia Feinberg. In addition, she had two sisters, Marjorie Mooney, and Barbara Smith and several nieces and nephews, including Jeffrey Crossman of Middlebury. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11 a.m. at Saint Leo the Great Church in Waterbury, CT.
