Edwin J. Gero 73, died Friday afternoon December 7, 2018 at Porter Medical Center after a long illness. He was born January 7, 1945 in Middlebury the son of Charles and Mabel (Odell) Gero. Edwin was a milking equipment repair technician. He enjoyed fixing old lawn tractors and cars, he enjoyed cutting wood and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he also enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Survivors are his children, John Gero and wife Becky, Kimberly Fowler and husband Dave and Eric Gero and wife Amber, by his siblings, Nicky, Harry, Carolyn, Ethel, Beverley, Kathy, Rosie, Patty, Maryann and Connie. By his former wife Ordale Wright; his fifteen grandchildren, eleven Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Charles, Elizabeth and by a great grandson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 11, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home., located at 117 South Main Street, Middlebury, the Rev. Brett Cody will officiate. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday December 11, 2018 from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M.
