Danielle R. Austin 39, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. She was born December 16, 1977 in Burlington to Peter and Diane (Rivers) Rheaume. Growing up, Danielle cherished time exploring Seymour Street with her sister and neighborhood friends. She enjoyed her visits to the Rivers Family Farm, where she was able to spend time outdoors playing with her cousins and caring for the animals. She had a passion for farming, gardening, canning, cooking and country music. Danielle was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School class of 1997. She spent over a decade working at Cabot in Middlebury, VT as a lab technician. Danielle loved to spend time sharing laughs around the kitchen table with family and friends. Her greatest joys were her daughters, whom made her life complete. She cherished every moment spent with them. Danielle will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, fiery temperament and her deep inner strength. Survivors are her mother and best friend, Diane Rheaume of Brandon, her children, Wyleigh and Kayleigh Austin and their father Seth Austin of Bristol, her sister Casey Fitzgerald and husband John of Salisbury, her nieces; Jayden, Reese and Willow Fitzgerald, By her signifigant other Bill Skidmore and by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her father, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. "She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible, she walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings." A Memorial service will be held on Sunday September 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Memorial Baptist Church in Middlebury. A reception will immediately follow at the Salisbury Community School.
