Middlebury, Clayton J. Shores Clayton J. Shores 81, died Monday evening May 4, 2011 at his home in Middlebury surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1929 in Middlebury the son of the late Clayton E. & Kathaleen (OConnor) Shores. Clayton was a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was employed for several years with the Vermont Department of Transportation as a truck driver retiring in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family, visiting with friends and going to his grandchildrens sports games. Clayton is survived by his wife Marilyn (Gonzalez) Shores, of Middlebury, by his children, Shelley Halnon, of Arizona, Claudia Bromley, of Florida, Patrick Shores, of Brandon, Nicole Shores, of Middlebury, Melissa Shores, of East Middlebury and Michael Shores, of Middlebury. Also by his sisters Evelyn Severance, of New York and Joanne Desjadon, by his twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert E. Shores. Per Claytons wishes services will be private.
