Cindy D. Orleans 65 of Orwell passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Fletcher Allen Health Care with her family by her side. She was born at Porter Hospital in Middlebury, VT on October 5, 1949, daughter of the late Andrew and Myrna Tremblay. Cindy was employed by the State of Vermont where she helped to guide many people through the obstacles of life. She retired in 2011 to spend time on the family farm with her husband and daughter Lexi. A multi-talented craftsperson, Cindy handmade many treasured items, canned homegrown vegetables and fruits to share with family and friends. Cindy leaves behind her husband Brian, son Dennis Patterson of Brandon, daughters Penny Patterson and her partner Tim LaDuc of Orwell and Lexi Orleans of Orwell. Brothers, Andrew Tremblay of Michigan, Douglas Tremblay and his wife Krysta of Alabama, sisters Dianne Warren and husband Bob of Shoreham, Joanne Paige and husband Pete of Orwell, Mari Mooney and husband Ray of Shoreham. Three grandchildren, Amber DeGray, Taylor Patterson and Courtney Patterson, one great granddaughter Addie Ketchum and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Cindy was predeceased by her parents. Visitation will be held on October 21, 2014 at Sandersons Funeral Home 117 South Main St. Middlebury, VT from 6pm to 8 pm. The family will have a private service for Cindy at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Cindys memory to an educational fund for Lexi set up at the First National Bank of Orwell P.O.
