Christine M Fallon Christine Marie Fallon, age 73, of Vergennes/Middlebury passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Fletcher Allen ICU surrounded by her loving family. Christine was born in Weybridge, Vermont on February 6, 1937 to Homer and Hazel Austin and was the youngest of twelve children. Seven months after her birth, her father was killed in an accident. Christine graduated from Middlebury Union High School and obtained her teaching degree at Castleton State College. Christine was raising five children on her own when she began her teaching career at Mary Hogan Elementary School which spanned beyond thirty years. She touched the lives of many students, changing the world for the better. Her family and teaching days were the loves of her life. Christine is survived by her children Melanie Pouliot and husband Yvon, Patrick Fallon and wife Laurie, Kim Soule and husband Bill, Wendy Hunt and husband Rob, and son Peter Fallon, grandchildren Matthew Putnam-Pouliot and wife Chris, Megan Pouliot, Dillon Pouliot, Lucas Fallon and fiance Amanda Rice, Nathan Fallon and partner Christine Bird, Billie Baslow and fiance Erin Sweeney, Jeremy Soule, Crystal Soule and partner Paul Hotchkiss, Ashley Soule, Thomas Hunt, Jacqueline Hunt, Dustin Hunt and wife Jade, Krista Hunt, David Fallon and Daniel Fallon, great grandchildren Rico Putnam-Pouliot, Star Hotchkiss, Willow Hotchkiss, Sadie Hunt, and Landon Hunt, brothers Levi Austin and wife Gladys, Duane Austin and wife Toni, sisters in law Mary Larose and Ellen Austin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Homer and Hazel Austin, her siblings Nora Austin, Billy Austin, Howard Austin, Eunice Stryhaus, Leona Stark , Virginia Raymond, Wilma Austin, Jerry Austin, and Thelma Anderson , and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Christine will be remembered for her sense of humor, love, dedication, selfless caring, great wisdom, and boundless energy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christine Fallon Memorial Scholarship Fund for a deserving student attending college who was a student at Mary Hogan Elementary School. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 1:00 P.M., October 4, 2010 at the Middlebury United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jill Robinson will officiate.
