Carolyn W. Trudeau, 82, a life-long Middlebury area resident, passed away in the comfort of her family on Nov. 23, 2017. Carolyn was born in Rutland, Vt., daughter of Raymond and Alice Willis. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Gerard F. Trudeau in 2013, and leaves her daughters; Michelle Trudeau and Nicole Doolan; her son Mark Trudeau; five grandchildren, Keara and Haleigh Doolan and Jesse, Andre, and Jack Trudeau; and brother William Willis. Carolyn was a true Vermonter. After being a legal secretary in her early years, she went on to raise her family and pursue her passions of antiquing, gardening, arts and crafts, and volunteering in several organizations in Middlebury. During this time she was also involved in assisting her husband with his businesses. In addition, she devoted numerous years volunteering with the Lake Dunmore/Fern Lake Association. Her contribution was her devotion to conserving these lakes. When in Town, she also enjoyed visiting with people while she was out and about. A private internment will be held at a later time.
