Candy Laine Smith 49, died early Tuesday morning December 2, 2014 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington after a long illness. Born February 28, 1965 in Williamsport, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Tibbens) Smith. She was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy class of 1983. She furthered he education and earned her Para Legal degree from the Vermont Law School. Candy enjoyed fishing, camping and motorcycles. She work At CSAC-VT in Middlebury and had also worked in the Chittenden County Court System as a court clerk and had also worked in the Office of Child Support in Waterbury with the State of Vermont. She is survived by her companion James Jim Hadd of Ripton, by her children, Brandon Yandow of Ripton and Casie Yandow of Pennsylvania, by her brother Steven Smith of Oklahoma and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and also by her former companion Tracey Yandow. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday December16, 2014 at 11 AM at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 south Main Street, Middlebury.
