Betty L. Whittemore, 68, of Lake Dunmore Rd., died April 7, 2007 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Born in East Middlebury June 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and Mona (Palmer) Whittemore. Family members include one brother, Raymond Whittemore of Leicester; one sister Lucille Sumner and her husband Phil of South Bristol; an anunt, Shirley Wisell of Middlebury; two nephews, one niece; two grand nieces, two great nephews; one great great niece. She was predeceased by two sisters, Eugenia and Sally and by a brother Raymond. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday at Prospect Cemetery, East Middlebury with Rev. Jill Robison, pastor of East Middlebury United Methodist Church officating. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Middlebury United Methodist Church or to the American Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanderson Funeral Service, Middlebury.
