Tully, NY Mrs. Bettey R. Sullivan 79, died while visiting family in Vermont on Thursday evening October 28, 2010 at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT. She was born March 14, 1931 in Mineville, NY the daughter of Francis & Catherine (Cyr) Barnes. Bettey was a graduate of Lansingbury, NY High School. She enjoyed sewing and dancing. She was a member Pompey & Otisco Fire Departments Auxiliary Bettey was postmaster at the Pompey post office for over 20 years Survivors include her companion Jack Cutler, by her children, Rolanda Schoemaker and her husband Michael of Tully, NY, Diane Sullivan Ithaca, NY, Daniel Sullivan Vermont, Richard Sullivan and his wife Margo, of Fabius, NY, Thomas Sullivan and his wife Beverly, of Virginia and Mark Sullivan and his wife Kim, of Fenner, NY, by her brothers, Willard Barnes and Ralph Barnes. By her sisters, Norma Duclos, Marie Many, Janet Kimball, Martha Whipple and Patricia Mann. Also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Leon T. Sullivan who died December 13, 2002 and also by a brother Roland Barnes. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday November 3, 2010 at the Lafayette Alliance Church. The Rev. Rob Gates will officiate.
