Obituary

BERNARD BERGERON LINCOLN- Bernard M. Bernie Bergeron, 38, of West Hill Rd., died Monday, April 21, 2008 at Porter Hospital, Middlebury, following a sudden illness. Born August 24, 1969 in Rutland, he was the son of Real E. Sr. and Emma L. (Deo) Bergeron. He was a graduate of Middlebury Union High School, class of 1987 and was a resident of East Middlebury prior to moving to Lincoln last year. He was employed in general construction and carpentry by Mark Trudeau. Bernie enjoyed bowling and was a league member. He was a sports enthusiast and was a fan of the Montreal Canadians, the New York Yankees, and Dallas Cowboys. Family members include his wife Lori A. (Forbes) Bergeron whom he married August 11, 1990, his son, Michael L. Bergeron of Lincoln, one daughter, Jamie L. Bergeron of Middlebury; his mother, Emma of Rutland, his father Real of Milton; one brother, Real E. Bergeron, Jr. and his wife Jean of Forestdale; one sister, Sherri L. Chandler and her husband Christopher of Rutland; his granddaughter whom he adored, Natalie R. Bergeron of Middlebury; mother-in-law, Janice M. Forbes of Middlebury; sister-in-law, Sherry M. Bristol and her husband Kevin of East Middlebury; brother-in-law Eugene S. Forbes of Bridport;, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. He was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his cousin, Arthur Fleming and his father-in-law, Kenneth Forbes. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Roger and Laura Brace and the Bristol Volunteer Ambulance Service for their assistance during his sudden illness. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at Sanderson Funeral Home, 117 S. Main St. Middlebury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday at St. Mary Church, Middlebury with Rev. Justin Baker, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Case Street Cemetery, Middlebury.
