Starksboro, VT Beatrice M. Heath
Beatrice M. Heath, 79, passed away on July 1, 2011 at her home in Starksboro with family, where she had lived for the past 12 years. She was born April 30th, 1932 in Burlington, VT. She was the daughter of the late William and Bernice (Sadlier) Tuttle. She married her best friend Floyd Heath Sr. on Dec. 18, 1948 and together they raised 14 children of their own, and took in many others over the years as needed. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to spend time with her family, baking in the kitchen and passing down traditions to those around her. She loved helping Floyd on the farm and tending to the vegetables in their large gardens. In more recent years, she spent much of her time at the window looking over the farm, flower gardens and watching the birds in the yard. She had a heart of gold and there was always more love to pass around.
She is survived by 6 daughters and 7 sons. Charlene Phelps and her husband Norman of Starksboro, William J. Heath Sr. and his wife Anne of North Ferrisburg, Richard A. Heath Sr. and his wife Helen of Fresno, CA, Diane Tomlinson and her husband Romaine of Orlando, FL, Darlene Clark and companion Fred Farrington of Randolph, Clifford C. Heath Sr. and his wife Kim of Starksboro, David K. Health Sr. and his wife Linda of Starksboro, Brenda Ashley and her husband Roy of North Ferrisburg, Debbie Mobbs and her husband Douglas of Richmond, Tina Heath and her husband Herbert of Barre, Raymond Heath of Burlington, Gary Heath and his wife Angela of Starksboro, and Kelly Heath and his companion Maureen of Ferrisburg. Also by her sister Bonnie Tuttle and Companion Harry Hallock of Essex, and by her brother Kenneth Tuttle and wife Peg of Addison, 33 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Floyd Heath Sr. in 2008, her son Floyd Heath Jr. in 1999 and two grandchildren.
Family and friends may call Tuesday July 5, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. at Sanderson Ducharme Funeral Home, 117 South Main St., Middlebury. A graveside service will be conducted at 10a.m. Wednesday July 6, 2011 at Lakeview cemetery on Lake Street in Addison with Larry Detwiellers officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Starksboro First Response in C/A Cheryl Estey Route 116 Starksboro.
