BRIDPORT - Barbara H. Marshall, 82, a resident since 1951 died Friday March 11, 2016 at Shard Villa in Salisbury. Born May 2, 1933 in Middletown, CT, she was the daughter of the late Theodore J. and Mildred (Mitchell) Hartke. Barbara married George W. Marshall on August 18, 1951 and together they operated Deerwood Farm in Bridport, raising registered Holsteins, for many years. She was of the Episcopalian faith. Family members include one son, Tyler Marshall; two granddaughters, Juniper Marshall of Bridport and Samone Marshall of NY; three great-grandchildren, Curtis Cruickshank, Evangeleanah Marshall and Hannah LaLuimere. Barbara was predeceased by her husband on August 16, 1996, by her son Kelley Marshall on April 12, 2001 and by her brother, William Hartke. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Town Line Cemetery, Bridport. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, Middlebury.
