Middlebury, VT Barbara D. Dragon Barbara D. Dragon 88, died Saturday morning, February 21, 2009 at Helen Porter Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Salisbury September 28, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Nina (Rogers) Durant. Barbara was a graduate of Middlebury High School, class of 1938. She was employed at CVPS for thirty years, retiring in 1985. Survivors are two daughters, Linda D. Charron and her husband Dennis of East Middlebury and Sandra Stolarcyk and her husband Owen of East Middlebury; her four grandchildren, Stephen Stolarcyk, Sophia Stolarcyk, Michele Duncan and Joseph Charron. Also by her two great-grandchildren, Justin Butler and Stephanie Barrett. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence C. Dragon who died February 1981, by her two brothers, Gordon and Earl Durant and by her sisters, Hazel Bishop, Mabel Dutton and Helen Silvia. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. She will be buried in Prospect Cemetery at a later date. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to the East Middlebury Methodist Church.
