Ferrisburgh - August S. Jerger August S. Jerger, 88, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at his home in Ferrisburgh, with his family by his side. He was born March 25, 1930 in Ferrisburgh the son of August and Berta (Schauble) Jerger. August enlisted with the United States Air Force and was honorable discharged. He was a lifelong farmer, who loved his cattle and was a steward of the land. For many years he drove tractor-trailer for Boyea-Fassetts. August leaves behind his wife of 61 years Judie Jerger, a son Brent Jerger and two daughters Brenda Garey and Barbara Jerger, and numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, also by his sisters Molly Leonard and Sue Jerger and his brother Peter Jerger. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings Alfred, Ruth.. At his wishes a family service and burial will be Saturday December 29, 2018 at the Union Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
