Arlene (Paladino) Alper, 63, died at her home in Ramona, CA after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 5, 1953 in Methuen the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Martone) Paladino.
She grew up in Methuen, attended Lawrence grammar schools, graduated from St. Marys High School and Northern Essex Community College with an Associates Degree in Clerical Administration. She and her family resided in Londonderry, NH prior to moving to California 17 years ago. In San Diego, she worked at Ranch Bernardo High School as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice Principal for 15 years. She loved to cook, bake, and cheer on the Boston Red Sox. She dedicated her life to her husband and three children.
She is survived by her husband Steven Alper of Ramona, CA, a daughter Allison M. Alper of Newmarket, NH, a son Christopher J. Alper and his wife Katrina of New Orleans, LA., and a daughter Elizabeth A. Alper of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by a brother Carmen J. Paladino and his wife Sandy of Spring City, PA., one aunt, several cousins, nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a dear sister, Angela (Paladino) Caulfield.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date and published in the Tribune.
Memorial donations in her memory may be to your local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
