Annis O. ( Bingham) Davis departed on September 11, 2012 to be with her maker with her family close at hand. Ann, as she liked to be called, was born July 8, 1925, the daughter of Edwin and Bernice (Delphia) Bingham.
Ann was a loving daughter, wife and mother. She loved to garden, knit, crochet, embroider, and especially sew skills she patiently taught her four daughters. In 1980, Ann started creating wedding gowns and attendants dresses for many local brides, including her girls. She also made gowns for several of the Miss Vermont girls to wear in the Miss America Pageants. She worked at Abrams Department Store in Middlebury for many years. She was a hard working farm wife, working in the fields and barn for the good of the farm.
She leaves her devoted husband of 54 years Warren Davis Jr., of Middlebury, four daughters: Janet Euber and her husband Bob of Shoreham, Joan Manchester and her husband Ken of Cornwall, Jean Richer and her husband Don of Spencer, Ma., and Marilyn Chicoine and her husband Guy of Whiting, her sister Faith Angier of Middlebury, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Bernice Bingham and three brothers: Edwin Jr.,(Bing) Stanton (Joe), and Frederick (Ted).
The family would like to thank the Hospice Nursing Staff for the wonderful care and support that they have provided over the last few months.
