ALICE QUESNEL
MIDDLEBURY- Alice Quesnel, 89, of Middlebury, died Saturday evening, December 13, 2008 in Vergennes following a period of failing health.
Born May 8, 1919 in Crysler, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the Ferdinand and Alpheda (Levesque) Benoit.
Alice was a resident of Middlebury since 1944, moving here from Shoreham. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Mary Church of Middlebury.
Family members include two sons, Bernard Quesnel and his wife Sandra of Middlebury and Louis Quesnel of Middlebury; two brothers, Donat Benoit of Orleans, Ontario, Canada and Roch Benoit of Montreal, Canada; four sisters, Therese Lacroix of Ottawa, Canada,Rita Corville of Embrum, Ontario, Bernadette Dagenais of Salisbury, and Lucienne Patneaude of Embrum, Ontario; three grandchildren, Deborah Spencer of North Reading, MA, Susan Quesnel of Castleton, and Andrew Quesnel of Medford, MA; two great grandchildren, Madison and Travis Spencer; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband,Euclide Quesnel who died Nov. 5, 1988.
There will be no public calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday at St. Mary Church with the Rev. William Beaudin, pastor, as celebrant. Spring burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Mary School C/0 St. Mary Church, 326 College St., Middlebury, VT 05753 or to the charity of ones choice.
