Whiting- Alice Condon Quesnel, 74, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 unexpectedly and peacefully at her home. Born December 2, 1932, in Bridport, VT., she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Bloomfield) Condon, Sr. She attended St. Marys grade school and graduated from Middlebury High School in 1950. She worked at Cooperative Fire Insurance until she married her husband, Victor Quesnel, on September 9, 1953 and then worked side by side with her husband on their farm in Whiting for many years and raised seven children. She taught religion classes for several years in Whiting and was a 4-H leader for many years. Alice was a parishioner of St. Agnes Church, Leicester Alice was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother, she was devoted to her family. She will be missed for her sense of humor, her great laughter and smile that came out beyond all of her pain. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Victor Quesnel, and their children Yvette and her husband, Malcolm Walker, Carmen and her husband, Bernie Cram, Madeleine and her husband, Al Highter, Carolyn and her husband, Peter Bearor, Marcel Quesnel and wife, Allison, Paul Quesnel and his wife, Mari, David Quesnel, and her daughter-in-law, Tammy and her husband, Larry Wilbur. In addition she is survived by her grandchildren, Aaron, Lindsey, and Sarah Walker, Derrick, Nathan and Justin Cram, Kyle and Adam Bearor, Kristi and Paul Matthew Quesnel, Audrey and Ashley Quesnel, Robert, Tara, Cody and Megan Quesnel. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Quesnel. She is also survived by her siblings, Gerald and Theresa Condon, Joyce and Edward Zawistowski, Michael Condon and partner, Gene Ortloff and Lawrence and Cindy Condon. She was predeceased by her brother, Stephen Condon, Jr. Visiting hours will be Friday, August 10, 2007, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Sanderson Funeral Home, 117 South Main St. Middlebury. A Mass of Christian burial celebrating Alices life will be Saturday, August 11, 2007, at St. Marys Catholic Church, Middlebury at 10:00 AM with Rev. Albert Skip Baltz and Rev. Justin Baker, as concelebrants. Burial will be St. Genevieve Cemetery, Shoreham, VT.
