Dr. Albert M. Pearson, 89, of 1495 Three Mile Bridge Road in Middlebury, VT, died on Friday, November 10, at home in his bed, surrounded by his loving family.
Dr. Pearson was born in Medford, MA on May 19, 1917, the son of John and Mea (Malmrose) Pearson. He grew up in Medford and graduated from Tufts College and Tufts Medical School. Dr. Pearson married Priscilla Alden on August 31, 1940. After graduating from Medical school, he entered the Army served as a Captain in the Medical Corps during WWII in England, Germany and France until the end of the war in 1945. Once home with his family, Dr. Pearson moved to Vermont where they lived and he had a General Practice in Wilmington for several years and then moved to Burlington where he served his Urological Residency. In the 1950s, Dr. Pearson moved his family back to Massachusetts, where they lived in Fitchburg and then Westminster for many years.
Dr. Pearson had a successful private Medical practice as a Urologist in North Worcester
County until retiring in 1982.
He was a well-loved and respected man who served as Burbank Hospital President
and Vice President of the Executive Committee for Health Alliance. He loved the
summers spent on Lake Winnekeag in Ashburnham where he owned a Camp with his
family. He loved his Boston Whaler and took his family all over the country in his motor
home. After retirement, he traveled quite often with his wife, Priscilla, and spent time
visiting with his children and grandchildren. When he lost his wife in 2004, he lived with
his daughter Jean and her husband, Bill, at their home in Middlebury, VT, where he was
surrounded by love for the remaining years of his life.
Dr. Pearson was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla, in 2004, after 63 years of marriage.
He was also predeceased by his son, Richard, in February, 2006. He is survived by his
daughter, Jean, and her husband, Dr. Bill Fifield of Middlebury, VT; his daughter,
Barbara, and her husband, Bill Johnson, of Lunenburg, MA; his son, William of
Burlington, VT, and his daughter, Anne, and her husband, Sean Walsh, of Raymond, NH.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandsons.
He will always be remembered for his loving nature, his generosity of spirit, his sense of
humor, and his honest integrity. He touched many lives over the course of his lifetime
